Three schools in Highline Public Schools are earning state recognition for student growth or academic achievement in the 2022-23 school year.
2022-23 Washington School Recognition Program
- CHOICE Academy: Achievement for the whole school
- North Hill Elementary School: Growth for one or more student groups
- Raisbeck Aviation High School: Achievement for the whole school
“I am incredibly proud of the students, staff and leadership at CHOICE Academy, North Hill Elementary, and Raisbeck Aviation High School,” said Superintendent Ivan Duran. “Congratulations to everyone involved for their outstanding efforts and success.”
2021-22 Washington School Recognition Program
At the same time, the state program released its list of schools recognized for student growth, academic achievement and closing opportunity gaps in the 2021-22 school year. Beverly Park and Cedarhurst elementary schools were recognized for student growth in one or more student groups in 2021-22. North Hill, CHOICE and Raisbeck were repeated on the list.
Recognized schools will receive a banner to display in their buildings. The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) partners with the State Board of Education (SBE) and Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) to identify and recognize schools for the program.
